What do you call someone who does teeth braces? Are they call dentist as well?

They're called orthodontists (they go to dental school first, and then usually 2-3 years after that for specialty/ortho training).

Reply:They are called an orthodontist. You can only call them a dentist if they also have a license to practice dentistry. They are two separate fields, although both clearly are related to oral hygiene.

You also can cam him/her a dentist, because you have to become a dentist first before becoming an orthodontist. An orthodontist is a dentist that specializes only in ortho. The other dental specialist are oral surgeons, pediodontics, endodontics, periodontics, and prosthodontics. There are no such thing as a "cosmetic dentist" since there is no speciality for such. They just use that term for marketing purposes and it works. Look at all the chiclet teeth around Hollywood!
