Getting braces off teeth?!?

I'm getting my braces off of my teeth tomorrow and I'm interetsed as to what it feels like since I've had them on for two years. Does it hurt? Does it feel weird? How should I whiten my teeth afterwards? Any tips or comments on how you felt when you get braces off will help, and best answer gets 10 pts. Thanks!!! %26lt;3

It shouldn't hurt at all. It's feels extremely weird, and beware, when they remove the cement, it will be scary. It sounds like they are chipping off your tooth, their not though. Don't worry. As far as whitening, brush your teeth as much as you can. And get a rinse that you use after you brush, with whitening in it, and don't rinse with water afterwards.

Reply:getting your braces off doesn't hurt too much, your teeth are a little sore after wards. the sound and the cement chipping off makes you think that they are breaking your teeth. when i got mine off i couldn't wait i was so excited. i would suggest using crest white strips to whiten your teeth they work really good
Reply:Lucky duck, tommorow im going to my ortho too, to get another bracket put on YAY!. BUT my friends have said it feels slimy and slick, like theres nothing there, and that they have big teeth. A few of them tried just the white strips and they worked. Just brush and floss 2x a day, and that will make em pearly white!


They also said that as your getting them off, it seems like they are cracking your tooth.
